About the Felis Softworks

The Felis Project started as a project of Insane Asylum Productions, the group that created The Padded Room. As word of this project spread around the communities that IAP was involved with a few other authors wanted to get involved so those authors formed a group called Author Development Inc. Together with IAP the two started work on The Felis Project, a project that would develop tools and help that catered to online authors around the world. The project went along just fine for a while, releasing three different programs in it's original life span. But then interest in the project stopped as a few of the key project leads became tied up in other things. And so The Felis Project was set aside.

Later, Insane Asylum Productions merged with the newly created Clan Short Universe Productions, a merge of three different productions companies. In the merge CSU Productions aquired The Felis Project. Updates were then handled by the Graphic Design and Program Engineering Department of CSU Productions. However, the project only saw a few updates and one new software release while it was with CSU Productions, due to other projects that CSU Productions was handling.

When Oraculum Engineering split from CSU Productions in late 2011 it took with it the Felis Project, in hopes that one day it would give the project the attention that it needed. And now Oraculum Engineering has split the Felis Project into a child company called Felis Softworks to handle that attention. Under the banner of Felis Softworks we hope to bring you many awesome products, with Felis Online being the first in those offerings.
